Our Operations

The Neuroscience Department offers both specialized and highly specialized care for patients with diseases and injuries of the nervous system. We work with investigation, diagnosis, as well as medical and surgical treatment of acute and chronic neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

We receive patients from seven regions in Central Sweden and are also responsible for national highly specialized care in certain areas. The broad and complex assignment provides good opportunities for development – both for you as an employee and for the organization.

About 450 employees work with us, distributed across three wards, day care, neuro-intermediate care, neuro-intensive care, operating department, and three outpatient clinics. In parallel with the clinical operations, we conduct extensive research, education, and development in close collaboration with Uppsala University. Our goal is to be a nationally and internationally leading actor in care, research, and education within the neuroscience field.

About the Position

We are looking for a temporary junior doctor for the neurosurgical clinic with the possibility of starting as early as January 2026. The position is full-time and lasts for about six months, with the possibility of extension. The work mainly takes place during the day and offers a stimulating environment with varied tasks. Salary according to agreement.

Your Qualifications

• Medical degree from a Swedish medical program with an approved course in neurology, or equivalent international education
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
